How important is obeying Yahwehs laws and commandments as well as walking by faith in Yahshua? You can’t have one without the other James said.

James 2:14-26 My brothers and sisters, what good does it do if someone claims to have faith but doesn’t do any good things? Can this faith save him…? In the same way faith by itself is dead… I will show you my faith by the good things I do( or by obeying Yahwehs laws and commandments). You fool! Do you have to be shown that faith which does ( not obey his laws and commandments) is useless… A body that does not breath is dead. In the same way faith that does nothing is dead. ( or faith that does not have equal obedience to His laws and commandments is dead or useless, non productive).

And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of Elohim, and have the testimony of Yahshua the Messiah”(Rev. 12:17).

Notice what distinguishes Yahweh’s people. Two characteristics define Yahweh’s saints: keeping of Yahweh’s commandments, and having faith in Yahshua. By these two characteristics Yahweh’s expectations for His people are defined.

We find these two attributes again in Revelation 14:12. “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of Elohim, and the faith of Yahshua.”

Yahweh defines His Saints as those that are keeping His commandments and having a faith in Yahshua the Messiah. Very simply, these two elements are essential for a believer, for without them we will not have access to Yahweh’s Kingdom.

Can you truly be his disciple without faith and obedience to His laws and commandments? No, all you will have is a phony religion, a deception but not his real faith which includes obeying his commandments and laws as well as believing and receiving Yahshua as Messiah and Lord, God and king! Yahshua, Peter, Paul, James all lived this way and so shall we, by grace thru faith in Messiah Yahshua!

In the last chapter of the Bible Yahweh warns us once again of the need for keeping His commandments. “Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city” (Rev. 22:14).

Deuteronomy 11:1-32 be careful to obey all the laws and rules ( commandments) I’m giving you today. (Read this whole chapter).

So to answer the question it is very important to obey his laws and commandments as well as have faith in Yahshua. Blessing comes thru faith and obedience and you can’t have one without the other. As we have studied faith for years it’s now time to study his laws and commandments with faith in them and to obey them by faith in Yahshua’s name, we can do all things thru Messiah Yahshua who strengthens us. We have grace and faith to obey in Yahshua’s name!

You may start out with just faith in Yahshua but as you grow in grace and faith your obedience to His laws and commandments must grow as well, none of us start out in obedience but we learn obedience and then step out in faith and obey his laws and commandments, 1 after the other, continually learning and repenting and obeying by faith in Yahshua’s name.
