1 Peter 5:6 humble yourself there for under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt to in due time.

Proverbs 18:12 before destruction the heart of man is haughty and before honor is humility.

Act 20:19 serving Yahshua with all humility of mind…

2 Kings 22:19 because you’re heart was tender, and you have humbled yourself before Yahweh…

2 Chronicle 7:14 if my people which are called by my name, shall humble themselves…

2 Chronicles 12:7 when Yahweh saw that they humbled themselves, the word of the Lord came too…

2 Chronicles 12:12 when he Humbled himself, the wrath of Yahweh turned from him, said he would not to destroy him…

Matthew 18:4 whoever therefore humbles himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 23:12 and whosoever shall exalt himself Shall be humbled and he that humble himself Shall be exhalted.

Pride stops us from hearing Yahweh’s voice, it also releases his wrath on us because we are not repentant and humble. We are called to humble ourselves, pray, turn from pride or any other wickedness or repent and then Yahweh will heal, bless and restore us. If you are in the wilderness this is the 1st step I’d look at, am I lacking humility and is pride and the flesh dominating my life. Do I react to people and situations with anger, impatience, etc or with humility? Oh my! Time for more growth and Holy Spirit fruit in our lives

What are some of the characteristics of humility? Humility, longsuffering, patience, slow to speak, not quick tempered etc. What are some of the characteristics of being proud? Stubborn, rebellious, angry, defends, argues, not teachable etc. Since God resist the proud, if we ever feel ourselves not growing in Yahshua the first place we should look at is to see whether or not we are walking in humility or being stubborn and proud. When you are stubborn and proud you have a hard time hearing and seeing the character defects in your own life and without humility Yahweh will resist you until you humble yourself to him. One of the greatest ways that you can examine your life to see whether you are walking in humility or pride and we all fall short and this from time to time is so look at your life into see how teacherable you are, especially when it’s in areas that are hard for you to accept. Are you willing to at least examine them and be repentant.

Stubbornness, pride and rebellion go hand in hand.

Just as humility, meanness, and being teachable go hand in hand.

We need to cloth ourselves with a repentant humble spirit and resist everytime pride tries to manifests. Listen to those who know you the best concerning your character and be willing to at least look at and consider any character constructive loving criticism. This is not always easy because usually we are totally blind concerning these issues. And we all have them and we all need to be able to see our defects in our character and humble ourselves under the mighty hand of Yahweh and ask him for his deliverance, Growth, forgiveness and restoration so that we can be clothed with his humility. Part of being filled with the Holy Spirit is to be filled with the character of the Holy Spirit and that character is love, joy, peace, meekness, humility, patience and long suffering etc. So when we are filled with the Holy Spirit these fruits will be evident in our life. When our flesh is in domination anger, vengeance, meanness, hate, bitterness, out burst of Wrath are evident in our life as well. So let us all be clothed with humility and fruitfulness in Yahshua’s name! Humility receives, pride defends! Pride justifies itself, pride explains but humility just simply repents! And offers no justification or excuse! Pride argues! Humility is slow to speak! Let’s not be filled with pride but be filled with humility in Yahweh’s name! Holy Spirit fill us!
