Intercession means to strike against or to strike upon. It is the act of interceding between two or more parties. It is an interposing or pleading on behalf of another person. To played on behalf of one and difficulty or in trouble. Intercession is taking hold of God’s word and God’s will on behalf of another and refusing to compromise concerning it and continually speaking it and believing it until it comes to pass.

Ephesians 6:18 with all prayer and petition pray at all times in the spirit, and with us in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints…

Jeremiah 29:7 seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you and pray to the Lord on its behalf for its welfare you will have welfare…

Exodus 14:13 – 19

Luke 22:32 but I prayed for you that your faith may not fail and you when once you have turned again strengthen your brothers…

Matthew 18:19 – 20 again I say to you that if two of you agree on Earth about anything that they may ask it shall be done for them but my father who is in heaven.

Matthew 16:18 whatever you bind on Earth shall be bound in heaven and whatever you loose on Earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Without intercession change will not take place in our own lives, in our nation or in our family. People will not be saved, healed, delivered, protected, prospered or set free without someone standing in the gap declaring Gods word and interceding for them. Intercession births and creates Gods word and his will in our lives and nations. Moses was a intercessor, Jesus was as well, are you? We need to continue speaking Gods word into people’s lives and into our nations and stand in the gap for as long as it takes and never give up, our cities, our families, our nation is Depending on it in Jesus name.
